After the live album "Live at The Ramblin 'Man" released by Alligator Records in 2019, we have here the new Kentucky Headhunters album "That's a Fact Jack", this time on their own label (Practice House Records). Containing eleven made-to-measure tracks plus a cover, it will not be discordant in their abundant discography, always with this alchemy that encompasses Blues, Country, Southern Rock supported by the magical rhythm section of Doug Phelps/bass and Fred Young/drums with an unstoppable groove which announces hostilities at the opening of "Gonna be Alright". A Stonian side embalms "How Could I", the guitars are lush on "Watercolors in the Rain", some mid-tempo that hits in the Lynyrd Skynyrd texture on "Susannah", good Americana vibes on "Cup of Tea" and "We Belong Together". Arrives the album title "That's a Fact Jack" which will undoubtedly become a standard because it has an undeniable energy. We recover the Kentucky Headhunters of the Rave On era of 1993 on the hopping "Heart and Soul", then comes the cover "Cheap Tequila" from the album "All American Boy" (1973) by Rick Derringer, played faithfully by Kentucky Headhunters. Then they let bravely the guns do the talking with good slide shots on the vigorous Southern Rock "Shotgun Effie". A laid-back finish with a gently jazzy swing on the song that announces the Christmas time "Let't All Get Together and Fight" in order to spend them to music with this band which has had the same "line-up" for a long time, stunning of credibility.
